Arte Sonora

Arte Sonora is an archive website developed for artists Franz Manata and Saulo Laudares. The platform organizes materials produced over fifteen years of activities by the Arte Sonora project, including courses, exhibitions, happenings, podcasts, programs on the history of sound art, and interviews.

Listening as a Priority

The website places listening to its extensive audio collection at the center of the experience. A persistent audio player remains available throughout navigation, allowing visitors to continue listening to selected content while moving between pages. On mobile devices, the player behaves similarly to audio apps, featuring cover artwork, playback continuity, and speed controls.

The platform brings together more than sixty hours of audio. The content includes interviews with artists, conversations about the history of sound art, recordings of programs, and materials connected to different activities of the project. Side navigation organizes access to the main sections: programs, activations, collaborators, and contact.

Collaborations

The collaborators section allows visitors to browse profiles of people who participated in programs, performances, and other documented activities. These profiles connect to related content, creating a relational structure for navigation.

Permanent Archiving

The files are hosted using permanence infrastructure built on Arweave. This choice reduces dependence on commercial streaming platforms and contributes to the long-term preservation of the archive.

Content Management

The website also includes a content management system designed so that the artists can continue expanding the platform. In this way, the archive documents the project's first fifteen years while remaining open to future additions.
